Premium Tax Credit

The Premium Tax Credit helps eligible people afford health coverage bought through the Health Insurance Marketplace. It can be paid in advance to lower monthly premiums or claimed at filing on Form 8962. If advance payments differ from the credit you actually qualify for, you reconcile the difference on your tax return.
